The flow builder: nodes, branching, and delays
Skip it for a single message, or design a full multi-step conversation.
Details
Every automation has a Quick setup mode (one message) and an Advanced flow builder — the same automation, a canvas instead of a form. Open it from any automation’s editor.
Node types
- Message — send a text message.
- Media — send an image, video, or audio file.
- Quick replies — a message with tappable reply options.
- Buttons — a message with link buttons.
- Delay — wait before continuing. Chaining messages with delays between them is TRIGMAZE’s version of a “sequence” — there’s no separate sequence builder, this is it.
- Condition — branch based on a captured reply, a tag, or a field.
- Add tag / Set field — tag the contact or store a value on them, for later filtering in Contacts.
- Capture reply — wait for and store the contact’s next message.
- Randomize — send one of several message variants at random, so repeat commenters don’t get an identical reply every time.
- Webhook — send the contact’s data to an outside URL. See Sending automation data to Google Sheets or Zapier for exactly what it sends and how to point it at a spreadsheet.
- End — close the flow.
Drag nodes onto the canvas and connect them. The builder is desktop-first — on a phone you can view and make small edits, but building a complex flow is easier on a larger screen.
